About Us

Meet Dr. Caroline Cheung
“I have wanted to be an orthodontist since grade 10. I had severe crowding and a mild open bite. I didn’t like to show my teeth when I smiled - before or even during braces. But after my orthodontist skillfully aligned my teeth and corrected my bite, I couldn’t stop smiling. That transformation inspired me, and it’s at the heart of why I chose this profession.”

Education and Experience
Dr. C’s journey to becoming a board-certified orthodontist took her across Canada, shaping her expertise along the way.
She began in her hometown, earning a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology (Honours) at the University of British Columbia. She then traveled to the East Coast to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery at Dalhousie University in Halifax. To put her training into practice, Dr. C pursued a general practice residency at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), where she honed her clinical skills and discovered her knack for making children feel at ease in a dental setting.
Her formal academic path concluded at the University of Toronto, where she completed a three-year orthodontic specialty program and earned a Master of Science degree. Now, she brings her expertise and passion to her patients every day.

Why I Created Kindred Orthodontics?
Dr. C founded Kindred Orthodontics with a vision of creating lasting, meaningful connections with her patients, their families, and the community.
As a teen, my orthodontist had a profound impact on me, and I hope to leave that same positive and lasting impression on everyone I have the privilege to connect with through Kindred Orthodontics.
Working in Windsor
With a decade of experience as an associate, I’ve gained expertise in a wide range of orthodontic treatments, from early intervention for children to braces and aligners for teens, as well as full and limited treatments for adults, including surgical options with clear aligners.
Working alongside skilled doctors, a knowledgeable team, and amazing patients has given me the confidence to take the next step and build my own practice.
Living in Windsor
For the past 10 years, I’ve proudly called Windsor home. My husband Tim, a true Windsorite, has shared his love for this border city with me, and I’ve come to appreciate all the local gems that satisfy my cravings for coffee, baked goods, and great eats.
As we raise our young family here, my appreciation for this community has only grown. Our two children, Hannah and Nathan, love discovering new playgrounds and hunting for the best ice cream shops—making Windsor feel even more like home.
